FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Naythan Shaw-Clarke had game highs with 27 points and 12 rebounds, his fifth straight double-double, but Atlantis beat the University of the Virgin Islands 81-69 at the Skinner Classic at Fort Lauderdale University.
William Steger tied his season-high with 17 points while Jalil Langston (12) and Shirmoy O'Garro, with a season-high 10 points, also scored in double figures for the Bucs, who drop to 3-15 on the season.
Joel Contreras led the Bucs with five assists.
The Bucs scored eight straight capped on a trey by William Steger to take a 15-6 lead with 13:25 left in the first half.
Atlantis would use a 7-0 run to pull even 30-30 with 4:07 left and Atlantis led 39-37 at the half.
The Bucs are back in action tomorrow when they take on host Fort Lauderdale at 8 p.m. EST.
