FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Ft. Lauderdale had four players in double figures and scored 56 second half points to beat the University of the Virgin Islands 101-71.
Fort Lauderdale beat the Bucs for the second straight night to improve to 13-12 on the season while UVI drops to 1-14.
Naythan Shaw-Clarke registered his second double-double in as many nights leading the Bucs with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Jalil Langston added 13 points, Nathan Carroll had a career-high 12 points and William Steger added a career best 10 points in the loss.
The Bucs were 22 of 54 from the field (40.7 percent) while connecting on a season high 9 of 16 from behind the arc, a season best 56.3 percent from downtown.
Fort Lauderdale was 40 of 84 (47.6 percent) from the floor and made 9 of 30 from 3-point range. The Eagles held a 50-32 edge on the glass including 22 offensive rebounds in the win
The Eagles led 45-36 at the half and scored the first seven points of the second half to push the lead to 52-36 in the first minute of the final half.
